Michael E. O'Brien

Michael E O'Brien Since joining Regan Tax Law in 2008, Mike has represented individuals and businesses in negotiating complex payment agreements for multiple obligations and different tax types to more than one taxing authority. Mike has also successfully aided businesses in resolving independent contractor/employee disputes with the taxing authorities.

Mike is developing a special expertise in helping taxpayers obtain relief from tax obligations by demonstrating their status as an Innocent Spouse before both the IRS and the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

Prior to joining Regan Tax Law in 2008, Mike worked as a law clerk for the Minnesota Department of Revenue and represented low income taxpayers as a volunteer student attorney with the Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid Clinic. Mike also served as the head coach for the Spring Lake Park/St. Anthony High School varsity wrestling team. He understands the importance of dedication and that success requires focus, skill, and persistence.
